Don't apologies. When photos like these come up, I simply MUST compliment the photographer AND model at the same time.

Might I add I love the title, it's very fitting.
As soon as I saw this image all I could think about was how great of a vampire you make. But the sort of vampire that the world is unfortunately starting to forget. They like the Hollywood horror, leather clad overly goth looking vampire, but forgetting about the elegant, enticing, victorian classic era vampire which made me fall in love with the whole gothic culture and vampires in general.

Hollywood has turned me to hate the genre I once used to love.

Your eyes simply eat into the soul and that in itself is the core of the vampire. You don't have to have pointy teeth, or over the top makeup, all you need are those piercing eyes,

(continued) I accidentally pressed send before i finished what I had to say.

The colour theme of the setting and your outfit as well as the makeup, and the tone in your skin along with the washed out sepia like tone of the image while maintaining the rich blood red colour just burns at you and demands attention.

It's easy to depict a vampire with blood oozing from the teeth, it's a different matter all together to have the look in the eye, in the skin, in the attire and portraying it all in a final look that just screams classic traditional Gothic vampire.

It's the look that got me into the vampire mythology in the first place. THIS is what the vamp, the vampire, or indeed the queen of the damned should look like and should be portrayed. All these kids pretending to be vampires, or pretending to some how think they have this uber gothy vampire thing going on should take a leaf out of this book.

Kudos to you, and kudos to Kim for pulling off this amazing photo.

And wow... I don't believe I have actually ever posted such a long comment to any artwork I have seen. That's something special!

thanks sweetie!
I did my make up myself (I'm pretty useless at that stuff). I'm impressed with the way it came up :D

Well I truly feel privileged to have been a part of an image that has inspired such a fabulous comment!

You are right though, the image that many think of is highly affected by Hollywood (uhem Underworld *cough*).
The editing is all Kims work, she's amazing but I was so so so impressed with what she did to the colours.

Thankyou :)
:iconrobovixen:
